Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s 2015 epic historical romance film, ‘Bajirao Mastani’ which starred Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, and Priyanka Chopra in the lead role. As the film completes 5 years of its release, fans on social media took to celebrate the film. On this special occasion, Deepika recalled her role of Mastani and shared an unseen photo.
Deepika shared a throwback photo with SLB and paid an ode to her role Mastani, she penned a long note that read as: “Whether in love or war, Mastani was fuelled by her passion, unafraid to write her own destiny, no matter how perilous the path. The ‘Chennai Express’ actress also changed her display picture and name on social media to that of her role in the film, to celebrate the film. Ranveer also shared a video clip of the film on his Instagram story to celebrate 5 years of the film’s release.
‘Bajirao Mastani’ became a major commercial success and one of the highest-grossing Indian films of all time, the film also won seven National Film Awards, and many other accolades too.
