Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh say no to wedding gifts

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are all set to tie the knot on November 14 and 15 and have a special request for their guests regarding their gifts.

Bollywood’s power couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are all set to tie the knot in Italy on November 14 and 15 in the presence of family and close friends. They had left for Italy on Saturday with their family for their intimate wedding affair and the festivities have already begun with the Mehendi and Sangeet ceremony on November 13.

The couple are tying the knot in one of the most expensive destinations in the world and have set up certain rules to be followed by their family and friends. The ‘Padmaavat’ stars are making sure that their small gathering remains intimate by asking guests not to carry their mobile phones to the venue and will also not be accepting any gifts. Instead, they have asked guests to donate the money to Deepika‘s charity The Live Love Laugh Foundation.

The reception cards that the couple had sent out had the instructions for the guests.

As reported by a source to Midday, “Ranveer and Deepika are committed to the cause and want to involve their guests in the act of kindness.”

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh will be tying the knot as per South Indian and North Indian customs and will later hold two receptions, one in Bengaluru and one in Mumbai, for their family and friends. The one in Bengaluru is on November 21 at The Leela Palace and the one in Mumbai is on November 28 and is at the Grand Hyatt hotel.
