Pyaar Ka Punchnama star Kartik Aaryan is on his way to become a superstar. The actor is on high demand and currently signed a movie under Dharma Production. On the other hand, Dhadak star Janhvi Kapoor is all set to be a part of the movie as well. Karan Johar recently announced Dostana’s sequel.
The shooting will commence in October due to the busy schedule of Gen-Y stars. In this movie, Kartik and Janhvi are going to play the role of siblings who fall for the same guy. As interesting as the plot is, the stars are finding it hard to make time for the film.
According to reports, Kartik Aaryan has wrapped up the shooting of Love Aaj Kal and is now currently busy shooting for Pati, Patni aur Woh in Lucknow. On the other hand, Janhvi is busy juggling between two movies – the biopic on IAF Gunjan Saxena and Rooh-i-Afza. The actors are likely to be free by the end of September and will commence shooting in October.
Karan Johar announced the movie on Twitter.
Karan is looking for the third actor. He might be a fresh face or someone from the industry. In a recent interview, Karan Johar said, “I am excited to take the Dostana franchise forward with Kartik and Janhvi, and can’t wait to create some desi boy-girl madness with them. This is Dharma Productions’ first film with Kartik and we are looking forward to working with him. We will also be introducing a new male lead, who will join the incredible talent at our production house. Collin D’Cunha also makes his directorial debut with Dostana 2.”
The original Dostana featured Abhishek Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra and John Abraham.
