After Dostana 2, Kartik Aaryan Roped In For Bhool Bhulaiyaa’s Sequel?

Days after Kartik Aaryan and Janhvi Kapoor were roped in for Dostana 2, now it is being reported that Kartik Aaryan has bagged yet another project and will play a lead role in Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa part 2. According to a report published in Mumbai Mirror, Makers of Bhool Bhualiyaa have decided to cast Luka Chuppi actor as the replacement of Akshay Kumar.

A source told the leading tabloid, “While the makers have locked the idea, the script is still to be finalised. But the idea was shared with Kartik who liked it and has agreed to take the franchise forward with the story set in a metropolis.”

“The director will be locked in a few days, following which they will decide on the leading lady and the rest of the cast,” further said the informer.

“Bhushan always wanted to continue with Bhool Bhulaiyaa and is invested in the film. He is looking to start filming by the year-end,” the source added.

The first part of Bhool Bhulaiya, which was released in 2007 had featured Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Ameesha Patel, Shiney Ahuja among and others in the lead role. Notably, Bhool Bhulaiya was also a remake of Mohanlal’s 1993 Malayalam movie Manichitrathazu,

On the professional front, Kartik Aaryan has recently wrapped the shooting of his upcoming film which is tentatively titled Love Aaj Kal 2. Imtiaz Ali’s next is scheduled to hit the theatre on Valentine’s Day 2020. Apart from this, Kartik will next be seen in Mudassar Aziz’s Pati Patni Aur Woh, which is also an official adaptation of 1978 BR Chopra classic which had starred Sanjeev Kumar, Vidya Sinha and Ranjeeta Kaur.
