The first trailer of Zendaya and Timothee Chalamet starrer sci-fi drama ‘Dune’ has wormed its way online. The star-studded saga is an adaptation of Frank Herbert’s 1965 magnum opus. Denis Villeneuve who is known for directing Blade Runner 2049, Arrival and Prisoners is leading this project.
The Dune trailer introduces the desert world of Arrakis that is home to The Spice the most coveted substance in its universe. It is necessary for both space travel and immortality.

The trailer showcases Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet) comes to Dune as teenaged royalty. He is soon swept into palace intrigue that threatens his life. Zendaya plays his love interest.
Dune features Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Stellan Skarsgård, Zendaya, Jason Momoa, Josh Brolin, Dave Bautista, and Javier Bardem in pivotal roles. It is scheduled to be released in theaters on December 18, 2020.
