SpaceX and Tesla CEO Elon Musk & Grimes have broken up after being together for three long years. Musk confirmed the news to Page Six that he and the Canadian singer are semi-separate but are on good terms. The 50-year-old added that they will continue to co-parent their son X Æ A-Xii Musk.
Speaking to Page Six Elon Musk said, “We are semi-separate but still love each other, see each other frequently and are on great terms. It’s mostly that my work at SpaceX and Tesla requires me to be primarily in Texas or travelling overseas. Her work is primarily in LA. She’s staying with me now and Baby X is in the adjacent room.”
The pair started dating in May 2018 and welcomed their first son two years later.
Elon Musk and Grimes were last seen together at the Met Gala on 13 September. Grime had walked the Red Carpet alone while Musk joined her inside. He later threw a Met Gala afterparty at hot private members club Zero Bond. The duo were photographed leaving New York together the following day.
But last weekend, Musk attended a party thrown by Google co-founder Sergey Brin’s wife, Nicole Shanahan, alone.
Musk was previously married to author Justine Wilson. He has five sons with her: 17-year-old twins Griffin and Xavier, and triplets Damian, Saxon and Kai, aged 15.
He has also been married twice to Westworld actress Talulah Riley and dated Amber Heard for a year.
Grimes is currently on the judging panel of the new singing competition Alter Ego.
