Farmers Protest: Ajay Devgn’s car stopped in Mumbai, man gets arrested

On Tuesday, Ajay Devgn was headed for a shoot at Mumbai’s Film City, Goregoan and on his way, his car was stopped by a man identified as Rajdeep Singh. The man forcibly asked the actor to speak on the ongoing farmers’ protest. Now, the police have arrested the accused and have charged him under sections 341, 504, 506 of IPC.

According to Rajdeep Singh, who claimed to be a supporter of the farmers said that he was angry as Ajay Devgn has not commented not tweeted about the farmer’s protest which has been going on for more than 100 days in Delhi thus, he stopped the car, reported Zee News. In the video, he was also seen calling the actor as ‘Punjab Ka Dushman’ (Punjab’s enemy). Reportedly,  the ruckus on the road went on for about 15-20 minutes.

The news agency ANI tweeted the same and wrote, “Maharashtra: A person has been arrested for stopping actor Ajay Devgan’s car over his tweet regarding farmers’ protest, in Goregaon area of Mumbai today morning, say police”

After stopping Ajay’s car, a complaint was made to the police from the spot after which the ‘Singham’ was rescued and the accused was later arrested.  Rajdeep’s friend who was accompanying him said that the accused had only gone to speak to Devgn about the rights of the farmers, reported DNA.
