A female school bus attendant at a Mumbai’s Bhayander east school has been arrested by the Kashmira Police for allegedly sexually assaulting a three-year-old KG Student inside the bus, Mid-Day reported.
Mira road Police station has registered a case against 53-year-old woman bus attendant under section 376 and 354 of Indian Penal Code and some section of POCSO act. The case has been transferred to Kashimira Police station and the accused identified as Mohini Dashini, who lives in Mira road.
The 3-year-old victim’s mother stated the incident took place several times in the month of August. She further stated, the accused Mohini Dashoni used to rub her daughter’s private parts after taking off her undergarments. On August 31, her daughter told, what had been happening to her for many days and she registered a complaint Mira road Police station.
“The accused was booked and arrested on September 1, and was produced before the court and remanded to judicial custody,” an officer told Mid-Day.
“The school bus, in which the alleged incident happened, doesn’t belong to our school. The bus belonged to a transport contractor. The alleged perpetrator was an employee of the transport contractor,” said a school told the leading daily.
The owner of the bus company said, “The allegations are very serious but I’m sure she has done nothing wrong.”
