Ghostbusters: Afterlife To Hit Theatres On This Date

The fourth film of the popular Ghostbusters franchise is directed by Jason Reitman. The latest franchise titled Ghostbuster: Afterlife has been postponed to a new date. The movie will hit the theatres one week later than the previously planned date. Instead of November 12 it will now release on November 19.

The news was shared by trade analyst Taran Adarsh. He took to his social media handle and wrote, “NEW FILM IN ‘GHOSTBUSTERS’ FRANCHISE… Here comes the next chapter in the #Ghostbusters universe… #Sony Pictures Entertainment India to release #Ghostbusters: #Afterlife in *Indian* cinemas on 19 Nov 2021.”

The reason for the release date to be shifted was Tom Cruise’s Top Gun Maverick. The Paramount film shifted from November 19 spot to 2022.

A few days back, the makers also shared a new trailer for the upcoming movie. The action-packed trailer gives us a glimpse of a family exploring the legacy of Ghostbusters decades after the events of 1989’s Ghostbusters II.

Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Sigourney Weaver and Annie Potts are reprising their roles from the original film. Finn Wolfhard, Mckenna Grace, Carrie Coon, and Paul Rudd are also among those fighting the ghosts.
