Goa: A person has been arrested by the state police for allegations of growing ganja on a plot of land that belongs to the Navy in Vasco town.

Goans are known worldwide for doing unusual things worldwide. In the latest incident, a person has been arrested by the state police for allegations of growing ganja on a plot of land that belongs to the Navy in Goa’s Vasco town, police said on Friday.

The police said that Sameer Shaikh — a local resident — had planted ganja on the land on which the Indian Navy was constructing a residential building for its personnel. Vasco police inspector Nolasco Raposo said that the plot in question is very close to a primary school run by Naval authorities for children of its personnel.
