Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya gave a New Year surprise to his fans on Wednesday. The popular player announced his engagement to Serbian actor Natasa Stankovic. The newly engaged couple are spending their New Year’s day in Dubai.
Hardik Pandya took to social media and shared a picture of himself with his lady love.
He captioned the image as, “Mai tera, Tu meri jaane, saara Hindustan. ???? 01.01.2020 #engaged.”
Hardik Pandya has also uploaded a couple of photos and a short clip where the couple are dancing to a Bollywood romantic number sung by his friends.
Natasa Stankovic too shared a short clip on Instagram, where Hardik Pandya can be seen proposing to his girlfriend. Natasa can be seen blushing and the couple ends the short clip with a lip lock.
Fans and friends soon flooded his Instagram with congratulatory notes. Virat Kohli too commented on the 26-year-old’s social media post, saying, “Congratulations H. What a pleasant surprise. Wish you guys great times ahead. God bless.”
India spinner Kuldeep Yadav also congratulated Hardik Pandya, saying, “Lakh lakh vadhaaiyaan.”
The 26-year-old is recovering from a back injury and has missed out on the Twenty20 International (T20I) and One-Day International (ODI) series against Bangladesh and the West Indies. His last international appearance came in a T20I match against South Africa in September 2019. He later underwent surgery in London to treat his lower back problem in October. Hardik has been named in India A squad for the tour of New Zealand.
