Hollywood film ‘Alpha’ to release in India on August 24

A still from the film

Albert Hughes’ historical drama ‘Alpha’ is all set to release in India on August 24. The film starring Kodi Smit-McPhee and Jhannes Haukur Jhannesson, explores the origin of man’s best friend.

The film which will be dubbed in Tamil as well, tells a fascinating story. In the prehistoric past, Keda leaves the safety of his village for the first time, accompanied by his father Tau and other members of the tribe. He struggles to return home after being separated from his tribe during a buffalo hunt and injures himself. He finds a similarly lost wolf companion to start a friendship that would change humanity. He must learn how to survive alone in the wilderness.

He reluctantly tames a lone wolf abandoned by its pack and the pair learn to rely on each other and become unlikely allies, enduring countless dangers and hunting, eating, resting, even playing together so that they find their way home before winter arrives.

It’s one of its kind story of mankind and wilderness. It is presented by Sony Pictures Entertainment. The film will release in India on August 24 in both Imax and 3D.
