The most awaited trailer of the upcoming Punjabi film ‘Honsla Rakh’ starring Shehnaaz Gill and Diljit Dosanjh has been released. The movie, which is being helmed by Amarjit Singh Saron, also features Sonam Bajwa in the lead, Gippy Grewal’s son Shinda Grewal and happens to be a comedy-drama.

The trailer revolves around Diljit, who plays an NRI in Canada who while dating Shehnaaz, gets pregnant. The duo later files for a divorce even before the arrival of the baby and she wants him to have its custody. Years later, Dosanjh falls for a woman, played by Sonam. Later, Gill once again makes an entry leaving his life upside down.
The official synopsis reads: ‘Honsla Rakh is a romantic comedy set in Vancouver, Canada that has warmth at its center and deals with the emotional bonds between father and child, and love between men and women in modern times.’
It marks the debut of Diljit Dosanjh as producer, directed by Amarjit Singh Saron, written by Rakesh Dhawan. The film is set up in Canada and its filming there was wrapped up on 1 April 2021. ‘Honsla Rakh’ is slated for a Dussehra release on October 15, 2021.
The promotional song of the film was scheduled to be shot on 15 September in London was postponed, as Shehnaaz Gill is currently mourning the loss of her rumored boyfriend Sidharth Shukla who passed away on September 2nd due to a cardiac arrest.
