Indian Photojournalist Danish Siddiqui Killed In Afghanistan Clashes

Indian photojournalist Danish Siddiqui is killed in Afghanistan clashes. The Pulitzer Prize-winning photojournalist with Reuters was reportedly killed in an attack by the Taliban. The shocking incident took place in the Spin Boldak district in Kandahar.

Danish was killed while he was on a reporting assignment. He had tagged along with the Afghan Special Forces on some missions. He reportedly died when the Afghan Special Forces came under attack by the Taliban.

Condoling Danish Siddiqui’s demise, Farid Mamundzay, Afghanistan’s Ambassador to India, tweeted:

Danish had started his career as a television news correspondent. He had later switched to photojournalism. He was a photojournalist with the international news agency Reuters

In 2018, Danish Siddiqui and his colleague Adnan Abidi had won the Pulitzer Prize. It was for Feature Photography for documenting the Rohingya Refugee Crisis.
