James Gunn Confirms a Death in Guardians of The Galaxy 3

As Marvel’s Phase 4 project, James Gunn will be directing Guardians of The Galaxy 3. Gunn had directed the first two parts and both the films received great responses. The director who loves to interact with fans on social media recently dropped a bomb. He confirmed a Death in Guardians of The Galaxy 3.

During a recent Q&A session on Instagram, when asked by a fan, “Will someone die in gogt 3?” Gunn replied, “Yes”.

About a fourth GOTG film, he said, “Planned to do a trilogy from the beginning if the first one worked out. No plans to do a fourth.”

He was also asked about the news surrounding around Groot’s Alpha groot avatar. A fan asked, “Will Alpha Groot be in GoTG Vol. 3?” to which James Gunn answered, “I have no clue what Alpha Groot is so I’m going to have to give a pretty clear no on that.”

James Gunn is at present helming DCEU’s The Suicide Squad. After its completion, he will start work on the third installment of the Chris Pratt starrer.

Marvel Studios is yet to announce the release date of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. The film stars Chris Pratt as Peter Quill / Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Dave Bautista as Drax the Destroyer, Vin Diesel as Baby Groot, Bradley Cooper as Rocket, Karen Gillan as Nebula, and Pom Klementieff as Mantis.

After Iron Man’s death in Avengers: Endgame, it would be sad to see another superhero dying in MCU!
