Kannada film producer Ramu passes away due to COVID-19

In a shocking turn of events, on Monday evening, Producer Ramu of the Kannada film industry passed away after suffering from COVID-19 complications in Bengaluru and was being treated at M S Ramaiah Hospital. He was 52. Ramu was married to Kannada film superstar Malashree.

Nearly a week ago, he had tested for Coronavirus, and after the diagnosis, he had isolated himself at home but was rushed to the hospital when his health started to deteriorate.

The producer has been a part of the film industry for nearly 3 decades and has made over 30 films in that period from his production and distribution company Ramu Enterprises. He made his debut with the hit action film Golibar (1993). Some of the films produced by Ramu are AK 47 (1999), Lockup Death (1994), Kalasipalya (2004), Ganga (2015).

Many celebs from the Kannada film industry took to their social media handle to offer condolences to the late producer.
