Karnataka is once again witnessing a sudden increase in the new cases of coronavirus. Though the government had worked hard to curb the new coronavirus but it is rising daily in the state. The single-day tally is on a rise in Karnataka too after Maharashtra and Punjab. The news was shared by Health Minister Dr K Sudhakar. He confirmed that the state is witnessing a second wave of COVID-19.
Karnataka Health Minister Dr K Sudhakar speaking to media said, “We are at the beginning of the second wave of coronavirus. Let us all join hands to control it because the next three months are crucial for us.”
Sudhakar said, “We all will be responsible for the aftermath if the government and people do not respond to experts’ report,” Sudhakar said.
He added that he will be speaking to Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa about the COVID-19 situation in the state. They will soon apply measures to curb it.

Cases in Karnataka have shot up to 1,798 with seven deaths and Bengaluru urban district has contributed 1,186 cases, including five deaths, on Saturday. The Chief Minister too had appealed to the people to exercise caution as coronavirus was on the rise at an alarming proportion. Owing to the surge, the government has also decided to re-open the COVID-19 Care Centres in Bengaluru.
