Kannada Superstar Yash gained immense stardom with KGF Chapter 1, his fan following increased tenfolds after the release of the Kannada action drama. Directed by Prashanth Neel, and produced by Vijay Kiragandur the movie went on to make and break records at the box-office. Now fans of Yash are eagerly awaiting the release of KGF 2 that is touted to be a bigger version of the prequel. Director Neels’s recent tweet has added to the excitement of fans. He took to Twitter and wrote, “A writer first then a director Clapper board With his backbone his crew. A big shoutout to all the AD’s everywhere, you guys rock!!!! #bestestteamever#kgfchapter2. [sic]”
If anything to go by the latest buzz, KGF 2 teaser might be out in March and an official announcement is likely to be made soon.
Recently the movie was in the news when rumours of veteran actor Ananth Nag, who played the role of a narrator and journalist-writer in KGF 1, has walked out went viral. But there has been no confirmation of the same from the makers.
‘KGF 2’ also marks Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt’s debut in Kannada film industry. He is playing the antagonist Adheera. The movie will be released in multiple languages also has Raveena Tandon in a pivotal role. Srinidhi Shetty is the film’s female lead.
