Lalu Yadav’s health deteriorates; Rekha Devi seeks better treatment

RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav's health deteriorates, MLA Rekha Devi seeks better treatment facility for the ailing leader. He is currently admitted in RIMS.

On Saturday Rashtriya Janata Dal MLA Rekha Devi informed that party chief Lalu Prasad Yadav is very unwell. She also said that he can neither sit nor stand. While stating that Yadav’s health has worsened, Rekha Devi has demanded better treatment facility for the RJD chief.

While talking to reporters, she said, “Lalu Ji’s health has deteriorated, he can neither sit nor stand. His blood sugar level has also increased. We demand that he should be taken to a place where he can get better treatment.”

RJD party chief and former Bihar chief minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, currently undergoing treatment at Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) in Ranchi, is serving sentences in a number of fodder scam cases. Apparently, he is a heart patient and, has diabetic and kidney ailments as well. He has even undergone a fistula operation at a Mumbai hospital.

Recently, Lalu Prasad Yadav was shifted to the paying ward of the hospital after he had complained of poor hygiene, mosquito menace and bark of dogs at RIMS. He was moved shifted to the 100-bed paying ward where he pays Rs 1,000 per day. After taking due permission from the jail superintendent, the hospital authorities has changed his ward.

After spending a few months out of jail, on August 30, the RJD supremo finally surrendered before a CBI court in Ranchi, upon the expiry of the provisional bail granted to him by the Jharkhand High Court for medical treatment.
