Lee Joon Gi Donated Sizeable Amount and Rice To Help Needy People

Lee Joon Gi — South Korean actor, singer and model — has donated a sizeable amount to help underprivileged patients. According to reports, Lee Joon Gi has extended his helping hands and donated 60 million won which roughly translates to $50,631 and five tons of rice in order to provide help to needy people in South Korea.

According to the fund project division of Korea University Medical Center, Lee Joon Gi has made this contribution on May 27. The five tons of rice that 37-actor donated was a part of rice wreath sent by his fans, and he expressed his desire to do something meaningful with his fans who support his regular donation activities.

The South Korean actor was touched by the relentless donation made by his fans to show their support for him and wanted to share the love and sincerity he received to where help was needed. As per the report, the fund and rice he donated will be used to treat patients in areas without medical care.

Lee Ki Hyung, the president of the medical department of Korea University Medical Center quoted by Soompi as saying, “I heard that actor Lee Joon Ki and his fans have been consistently practising good deeds and volunteer work. The sight of them running everywhere in need and offering a warm hand is evidence of hope for many people. I will remember the value of the donation and rice they sent, and it will be used wisely for patients inside and outside of Korea.”

Lee Joon Gi has recently wrapped up his Asia Tour and is likely to be seen soon performing on the next project.
