After delivering one of the best performances in Mardaani in 2014, Rani Mukerji is all set to impress the audience with more fierce and stronger avatar in Mardaani 2. Yes, the makers have just dropped the new look of Rani Mukerji from Mardaani 2 and it is intriguing. Looking at the new poster of Mardaani 2, Rani looks confident and ready to fight the child traffickers and teach them a lesson.
In Mardaani 2, Rani will play Shivani, a Superintendent of Police. In this part, Hitchi actress will be seen fighting a 21-year old merciless villain, who crosses all limits while committing the crime. The film is directed by Gopi Puthran, who had earlier written the script of Mardaani.

Speaking about the film, Gopi had once said, “It’s an intense one month long schedule in Rajasthan which forms the backdrop to the story of Mardaani 2. Rani’s investigation will take her to Jaipur and Kota. Given that we are shooting in peak summer of Rajasthan, it will be physically demanding because Rani will be doing action sequences too.”
While giving an interview to media house, Rani had revealed that Mardaani will also be extremely close to her heart. She shared that the script of Mardaani 2 is extraordinary and the character of the villain is superbly written. In the first part, the villain was played by actor Tahir Raj Bhasin who nailed his performance.
Prior to this new look of Mardaani 2, makers had earlier revealed Rani’s another look in which she was seen donning a white shirt paired with jeans. If reports are to be believed, Chunkey Panday’s nephew Ahaan Panday may feature as the antagonist in Mardaani 2.
