Amazon’s Alexa is the new Conversational AI (Artificial Intelligence) is becoming quite popular among the masses in the Indian sub-continent, especially with families for making everyone’s life easier. Conversational AI: “Computers that talk,” literally, means a computer that talks and can respond to and recognise the user, that is the reason Amazon’s Alexa has become a hit among the consumers.
Currently serving as the company’s Vice President and Head of Scientists of Alexa Artifical Intelligence, Prasad has also another achievement in his belt; he stood 15th position on the Recode’s list of 100 people in technology, business, and media who mattered in 2017.

He has graduated in engineering from Birla Institute of Technology (BIT) Mesra, Jharkhand.
Rohit Prasad joined Amazon in 2013 and worked as a Director of Machine Learning. In 2016 he was assigned the role of VP and Head of Alexa AI.
Alexa is designed to perform multiple acts together; it has changed the whole experience of living. It can control the electronic gadgets of your house; such as audio and video systems, lighting system, air conditioners, etc. It has changed the hospitality industry too, guest can make a call from Alexa, play games with her and listen to their favourite artist just by saying his/her name. Kids can go to sleep with beautiful Alexa lullabies, with amazing voice clarity. Such is the power of this AI.
