#MeToo: Aishwarya wouldn’t have survived if I had hit her, says Salman Khan

The #MeToo Movement has gained momentum yet again and Bollywood is facing heat once again. When everybody is talking about stars like Nana Patekar, Vikas Bahl and Rajat Kapoor, nobody seems to be talking about bigger stars like Salman Khan. An old clip which has surfaced on the internet yet again where he is talking about hitting his ex-girlfriend Aishwarya Rai.

In the video, a journalist refers to a public allegation which Aishwarya had made against him and she asked him if he has ever hit a woman. Salman replies, “Yeah, now that woman has said that I have. I mean there was a journalist Prabhu Chawla who asked me this a long time ago, so I just banged the table and he got startled, the table really broke.” He furthur added, “I mean, if I hit somebody, it’s obviously a fight, I am going to be angry. I am going to whack and give it my best shot. I don’t think she would’ve survived it.”

Earlier, Aishwarya Rai had spoken to Times of India about Salman Khan’s misconduct and said, “After we broke up, he (Salman) would call me and talk rubbish. There were times when Salman got physical with me, luckily without leaving any marks. And, I would go to work as if nothing had happened.”
