Sacred Games Actor Jitendra Joshi Joins Shah Rukh Khan’s Netflix Original ‘Betaal’

Days after Shah Rukh Khan and his Red Chillies Entertainment announced that they will produce yet another web series for Netflix titled Betaal, Jitendra Joshi has been roped in for the same, reported IWMBuzz. Jitendra Joshi is a well known Marathi actor who was last seen in Netflix original Sacred Games. He played police constable Katekar in Saif Ali Khan and Nawazuddin Siddique starrer Sacred Games season 1. His role in the series was widely appreciated from one and all.

Earlier we have reported the cast of Betaal which had the names of Aahana Kumra, Suchitra Pillai, Siddharth Menon, Manjiri Pupala and Vineet Singh. The latest one who joined the Beeetal cast is Jitendra Joshi.

The excited Jitendra Joshi took to Twitter and wrote: “I am super excited to be part of this one of a kind project #betaal on #Netflix. To be associated with @iamsrk as an artist is a dream come true. My 2nd project with laale di jaan @iamnm along with a superstar cast and an amazing crew.. Watch this space for updates!!”


For the uninitiated, Jitendra Joshi was also featured in Marathi comedy-drama film titled Ventilator, which was produced by Priyanka Chopra.  So, after working in Priyanka Chopra’s production house, he is all set to have the ‘Baadshah of Bollywood’, Shah Rukh Khan to back his next one for Netflix.

Betaal is written and directed by Patrick Graham — he had also helmed Netflix’s “Ghoul” starring Radhika Apte. Co-directed by Nikhil Mahajan, “Betaal” is a movie set in a remote village where the 200-year-old Betaal, a British Indian Army officer, and his battalion of zombie redcoats come to life to fight the Indian police.
