Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah: Palak Sidhwani to play Nidhi Bhanushali’s character Sonu

The makers of one of the highest TRP generating Hindi TV shows, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmash, seems to have finally found a capable replacement of Nidhi Bhandushali, who quit the show in February this year. Nidhi Bhandushali portrayed the role of Sonu in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma (TMKOC), which will now be portrayed by Palak Sidhwani.

Earlier there were reports doing the rounds that Palak Sidhwani and Jinal Jain were in talks to play Sonu in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. However, Palak Sidhwani has been finalised, reported SpotboyE.com. Notably, Palak Sidhwani has earlier worked in several ads and short films.

A source told SpotboyE that Palak has already kicked off shooting from Yesterday. For the unversed, here’s how Nidhi’s exit from the show was planned. So, the makers showed that her character is leaving India for higher studies and as per the report she will be back in Gokuldham Society, obviously with a new face as the replacement.

The moment Nidhi quit the show, she told the entertainment website, “She is pursuing her BA from Mithibai College (Mumbai) and is quite a studious person. Now she wants to shape her career with education and wants to devote more time to finish her graduation. Although, the production house is contemplating on the matter by giving her more time to study and less shoot hours. Yet, it is becoming difficult for the actress to manage work and studies together. Hence, she is quitting the show.”

Let’s see how quickly Palak manages to create a place in the hearts of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah viewers.
