Australia look to produce perfect revenge after ODI demean

Australia is one team that can never be taken timidly. They might appear to be short of courage and confidence in aftermath of the South African tour but they have always produced players with great character and intend. At present the Kangaroos would be keen on producing a perfect revenge against arch rivals England.

Vigilance from past states that Australia has always kept its problems away from big tournaments. There was a lot of speculation that Australia were short of services in the ICC World Cup 2015. But the Michael Clarke led side triumphed and won another world cup for their nation. David Warner and Steve Smith returning well before the ICC World Cup 2019 is surely a good news for them.

The past two weeks haven’t gone well for the visitors. England embarrassed them with a 5-0 defeat producing some wonderful performances throughout the series. Australia looked to spoil their party right towards the end when they got eight England wickets at the score of 114 runs but Joss Butler had other plans. He batted like a genius along with Adil Rashid to see his team home in a thrilling encounter.

Tim Paine was appointed in order to give a good base to the side but he failed miserably. Aaron Finch will be keen to show his skills and avenge the defeat his team faced in the ODI series. It will be a different ball game when these sides meet in the one off T20 at Birmingham on Wednesday.

Australia finally call in a wrist spinner in the form of Sweapson. He will add great value to the side with his tempting leggies in partnership with the off spinner Ashton Agar. The exciting Alex Carrey replaces Tim Paine behind the stumps and will be expected to perform well with the bat. Australia will love to see D’Arcy Short perform as well after frequent failures on the big stage.

Australia play England in the one off T20 today at 11 pm IST.
