Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Friday took everyone by surprise in the Lok Sabha when he hugged Prime Minister Narendra Modi after tearing into the BJP-led government during the no confidence motion

Prime Minister Narendra Modi who was stunned by the Congress President Rahul Gandhi for hugging him, hit out at him during a rally he is addressing in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh. Modi, after defeating the No-Confidence Motion in Parliament attended the Kisan Kalyan Rally in Uttar Pradesh, where he attacked the Opposition and Rahul Gandhi.  He said that such unwanted hugs will only warrant in helping the ‘lotus bloom’.

“We asked the reasons for their no confidence, but when they failed to give it, they ended up giving an unwanted hug, “Modi said, referring to Gandhi’s hug in the parliament. There is not just one ‘dal’ (political party) but dal over dal will result in dal-dal (marshy land) which will only help the Lotus to bloom.”He further added that the coming together of political parties against the BJP, will only help them. He blamed the Opposition for ignoring the plaint of the citizens of the country, but instead only focussing on getting the Prime Minister’s chair.

“Have I done anything wrong. I am only working for the poor and the country…fighting corruption and this is my crime.” said Modi to the people attending the Kisan Kalyan Rally. Modi also criticized the former governments for being corrupt and not having the will to help the farmers in distress and not having any pro-farmer schemes. He then went onto to list the number of decisions taken by his government to help out the farmers.
