The COVID-19 lockdown has taken a massive toll on the entertainment industry. Filmmakers across the nation are resorting to OTT platforms for the release of their films. After Amitabh Bachchan’s Gulabo Sitabo and Vidya Balan starrer Shakuntala Devi – Human-Computer. We now have the makers of Tamil movie Ponmagal Vandhal all set to release their film on Amazon Prime.
Amazon Prime Video today revealed the motion poster of the much-awaited film PonMagal Vandhal featuring Jyotika. The producer of the film, actor Suriya, took to Twitter to unveil the motion poster. He also revealed that the trailer of the film will be out on May 21.
Suriya wrote, “Delay in Justice is Injustice!! #PonmagalVandhal trailer out on 21st May (sic).”

The poster features Jyotika in the fierce avatar of a lawyer. The viral poster also features actors like K Bhagyaraj, Pratap Pothen, Parthiban, and Pandirarajan.
Helmed by JJ Fredrick, the thriller is produced by Jyotika & Suriya Production under their banner 2D Entertainment. Ponmagal Vandhal will be the first Tamil film to premiere worldwide directly on the digital platform. The trailer of the movie will be launched on May 21 and the movie will premiere on May 29.
Apart from Ponmagal Vandhal, the other South Indian films all set to take the OTT platform by storm are Keerthy Suresh starrer Penguin, Sufiyum Sujatayum (Malayalam), Law (Kannada) and French Biryani (Kannada.
