The makers of the anthology film titled Putham Pudhu Kaalai are out with an intriguing trailer. The movie features 5 lockdown short stories based on love, greed, second chances. They are helmed by five noted filmmakers: Gautham Menon, Suhasini Mani Ratman, Sudha Kongara, Rajiv Menon, and Karthik Subbaraj.
AR Rahman launched the film’s trailer and wrote, “Delighted to launch the trailer of #PuthamPudhuKaalai. Congratulations to the team on their new beginnings! (sic).”

The two-minute-long trailer starts with the announcement of a 21-day lockdown in India. The five stories deal with different relationships and how they make it through the lockdown.
These short films stars actors like Shruti Haasan, Andrea Jeremiah, ayaram, Oorvasi ,Kalidas Jayaram, Kalyani Priyadarshan, M S Baaskar, Ritu Varma, Suhasini Mani Ratnam, Anu Hasan, Kathadi Ramamurthy, Komalam Charuhasan, Gurucharan C, Leela Samson, Simha, Sharath Ravi and K Muthukumar.
Putham Pudhu Kaalai is slated for October 16 release on Amazon Prime Video.
