Rahul Gandhi is afflicted with ‘Modiphobia’: Amit Shah

With the war of words between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress president Rahul Gandhi reaching new heights every day, BJP president Amit Shah took a dig at the Congress chief saying he has “afflicted with Modiphobia”.  According to Shah, that’s the reason why Rahul Gandhi chants Modi-Modi.

While delivering speech in Madhya Pradesh’s Barwani rally which will go to polls on November 28, Amit Shah said that the state had progressed under the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s leadership. He said that Congress had no stories to share, and hence it resorted to Modi-chants.

The BJP national president told the people present in the rally that he understood Rahul Gandhi’s “monotone” on the Prime Minister while he was listening to Congress chief’s speeches sitting at the airport one day. “Rahul Gandhi has absolutely nothing to talk about,” he said, “He cannot speak about the corruption that his party unleashed while in power, nor can he talk of the development — as it was non-existent.”

“In fact throughout his speeches, I failed to understand whether he was campaigning for the BJP or the Congress,” Shah said in a mocking tone.

In another instance during Shah’s whirlwind tour of Madhya Pradesh, the BJP president took a dig at former prime minister Dr Manmohan Singh, who made a comment on minorities almost 12 years ago. “When Narendra Modi became the prime minister, his first sentence was this government is of the tribals and poor, but Manmohan Singh used to say minorities have the first right on resources,’’ Shah said in tribal-dominated Badwani.

Shah again trained his guns on Congress for paying respect to tribal “heroes” just for the sake of idolising one family. For Shah, the next seven days are also sorted where he will participate in several road shows and rallies.
