Galaxy S10 is an upcoming 6.10inch touchscreen display mobile by Samsung. The smartphone features an Octa-Core CPU and 6GB RAM with an in-display fingerprint sensor. The display biometric function is getting standard, many new devices had started adopting the feature. One big issue leaked recently coming via a video uploaded by Mobile Fun, who got a chance to get a hands-on look on Galaxy S10 is the compatibility between screen guards and Galaxy S10 Ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.
Mobilefun is a UK based mobile accessory dealer who in its video showed a cut-out hole on the screen protector covering Galaxy S10 screen. This indicates the in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor of S10 does not work with Screen Protector on it.
Probably this can become a standard issue with existing phones, yet no one has tested and reported the bug. The big round on the front screen in the video above gives a nasty look to the device. The video does not explain much, but hints clearly the phone in-display fingerprint becomes unresponsive due to the cover.
9to5Google reported Whitestone Dome is the only manufacturer that claims its screen guard works with the Ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor of Samsung Galaxy S10 and it’s not cheap. Users will have to pay $60 additional to get an extra layer of protection, otherwise, the cut-out screen guards are the only remaining option.
Samsung Galaxy S10 is speculated to release at MWC 2019 with two additional models S10+ and S10E.
