Sanjay Raut On Sachin Vaze’s Arrest: No central team was needed for probe

The National Investigating Agency on Saturday i.e. March 13, arrested Mumbai Police officer Sachin Vaze for allegedly having connection in placing of explosive-laden vehicle near Mukesh Ambani’s house-Atilla. A day after his arrested Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut called him “an honest and capable officer” and he also stated that ‘‘no central team was needed for probe”.

“I believe Sachin Vaze is a very honest and capable officer. He has been arrested in connection with gelatin sticks that were found. One suspicious death also occurred. It is Mumbai Police’s responsibility to investigate the matter. No central team was needed,” news agency ANI quoted Sanjay Raut as saying.

Mumbai Police and ATS (Anti-terrorism squad) are well respected but central agencies repeatedly enter Mumbai and demoralise Mumbai Police. It creates instability in the state and creates pressure on Mumbai Police and the administration,”  further mentions Raut.

For the unversed, a Scorpio containing 20 gelatin sticks was found outside billionaire Mukesh Ambani’s residence in Mumbai on February 25. Soon terror group Jaish Ul Hind posted a message on a Telegram channel claiming responsibility for the act. The Intelligence agencies shocked everyone with the update about tracking the phone number that was used for the Telegram channel. The agency probing the bomb scare incident apparently claimed that the telegram channel was created inside the Tihar jail.
