TV Star & Sarbjit Actor Ranjan Sehgal Passes Away at 36

Popular Punjabi and Hindi film actor Ranjan Sehgal passed away on July 11. Ranjan who was seen in Aishwarya Rai starrer Sarbji passed away due to multiple organ failure at a hospital in Chandigarh. The 36-year-old actor had reportedly been unwell for quite some time.

The 36-year-old actor had pursued formal education in theater from Punjab University. He had also garnered acclaim through most of his performances on the stage as well as the TV and films.

Ranjan was a noted theater and television personality. He had done significant roles on the small screen. He had moved to Mumbai from Punjab and started with TV commercials. He also worked in television serials like Rishton Se Badi Pratha, Tum Dena Saath Mera, Gustakh Dil, Bhawar, Jaane Kya Hoga Ram, and Kuldeepak among many others. He also played the role of officers in crime drama shows like ‘Savdhan India’ and ‘Crime Patrol’.

Ranjan was a known name in the Punjabi film industry and had worked in movies like, ‘Yaaran Da Katchup’, ‘Aatishbaazi Ishq’ and ‘Mahi NRI’.
