Senior actress Rita Bhaduri passes away at the age of 62

The actress was not well from several days and gave up on the battle field of health. She was from the 1973 batch of the FTII

Senior actress Rita Bhaduri who was recently seen as grandmother in Star Bharat’s Nimki Mukhiya died this morning. She was sixty two years of age.

The actress was suffering from kidney ailment and had to go for dialysis every alternate day. The actress was in the hospital for the last 10 days.

She was from the 1973 batch of the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), she initially appeared as supporting actress in various Bollywood films during the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s. She is most known for films like Sawan Ko Aane Do a 1979 Rajshri Productions film and Raja (1995) for which she received a Filmfare Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress.

Not only limited to Bollywood or Hindi Television but also she was associated with the Gujarati Film Industry. Even though not of Gujarati origin, she has been one of the exceptionally successful actresses in the Gujarati film industry.

Rita Bhaduri has worked in over 20 TV shows, which includes Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai, Amanat and Kumkum.
