Serena Williams Wins Record 100th Match at Arthur Ashe Stadium

Serena Willims has made a record with her 100th win at the Arthur Ashe Stadium. She became the first athlete to win 100 matches in the stadium. This was after she sealed her fourth-round victory. Serena had a record of 99-13 at Arthur Ashe Stadium. Her victory over Greek Tennis Player Maria Sakkari was her 100th in the iconic court.

Roger Federer is the second tennis player at Arthur Ashe Stadium with 77 victories there.

The 38-year-old is now looking forward to winning her 24th Grand Slam Title that has been eluding her for long now. Serena had won her 23rd title in 2017. A win at the 2020 US Open would give her a 24th Grand Slam title.

Williams, who will turn 39 in less than three weeks, will face the unseeded Tsvetana Pironkova in the semifinals. The 32-year Bulgarian is playing in her first tournament in more than three years after taking time off to have a child.
