Travelling in an aircraft makes us feel like we have wings to fly high. Not just limited to the services but also exterior designs and graphics of airlines have evolved over the past few decades. Some airlines think of getting creative with paint jobs for promotional purposes.

Here we present seven coolest-looking and interesting aircraft which are contemporary:

1. Fiji Airways created a uniquely Fijian identity that truly celebrates a proud nation and its people.

2. Iceland is one of the best places on earth to see Northern Lights. The Icelandair (aircraft) is covered up with Icelandic winter landscape.

3. Hawaiian aircraft is wrapped in it’s culture with a silver Maile lei with woven Pakalana flowers around the fuselage in a larger-than-life expression of the aloha spirit.

4. In sponsorship with Landor Associates, Etihad Airways striked unique livery pattern named ‘Facets of Abu Dhabi’. The design presents the Abu Dhabi based carrier with UAE national emblem along with fuselage next to the Etihad name and the national flag is respectfully featured forward near the cockpit.

5. For Papua Air‘s new livery, the nation’s diversity and traditional icons from around the country were incorporated on the unusual and striking design.

6. In 1996, Air France briefly painted F-BTSD in a predominantly blue livery, with the exception of the wings, in a promotional deal with Pepsi.

7. This Simpsons branded Western Pacific Airlines Boeing 737-300 took its first flight on 15 May 1985; however, the airline ceased operations in 1998.
