Shah Rukh Khan Starrer Doosra Keval To Air On TV Amid Lockdown

With the world in a standstill amid the coronavirus outbreak, old shows are coming back to entertain audiences. Popular shows like Ramayan and Mahabharata made a comeback recently. Fan favorites like Hum Paanch and Dekh Bhai Dekh also reappeared to the TV screens. Even Shah Rukh Khan starrer Circus returned to the small screen. Now, another show featuring Shah Rukh Khan, Doosra Keval, is returning to TV.

Doordarshan took to social media to make this announcement. The channel shared a short clip from Doosra Keval when announcing the return of the show. DD wrote, ‘Coming soon, Doosra Keval starring Shah Rukh Khan.’

The show will be airing on Retro DD. However, there is no official date of the re-telecast set yet. Doosra Keval first aired back in 1989. Shah Rukh Khan played the role of Lekh Tandon in the show. The series contained a total of 13 episodes. The actor made his start on the small screen. His first starring role was in Lekh Tandon’s television series Dil Dariya. However, due to production delays, Shah Rukh made his debut with Raj Kumar Kapoor directed series Fauji. He further appeared in Aziz Mirza’s television series Circus (1989–90) as well as Mani Kaul’s miniseries Idiot (1991). In addition, the actor also played minor parts in the serials Umeed (1989) and Wagle Ki Duniya (1988–90).

On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan was last seen in Aanand L Rai’s Zero (2018) with Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif. The film failed to impress audiences and bombed at the box office. The actor has not been seen on the big screen since then.
