Sushant Singh Rajput’s girlfriend-actor Rhea Chakraborty was interrogated for over eight hours on Friday in a money-laundering case. Now, the latest report states that the late actor’s flatmate Siddharth Pithani will be probed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) today i.e. August 10, 2020.
Reportedly, Sushant’s flatmate Siddharth Pithani was to be probed by the ED on August 8 however, he failed to appear at the office as he had gone to Hyderabad.
Rhea’s family members are also yet to visit the ED office for the questioning. The ED also interrogated Shruti Modi, former business manager of Sushant Singh. On Friday, Rhea’s brother Showik was questioning by the investigative agency’s officials for about 18 hours.
He is the first named in the First Information Report (FIR) registered by the Central Bureau of Investigation. The sources stated that earlier, the ED interrogated Samuel Miranda, an associate of Rhea over the latter’s properties and Sushant’s Chartered Accountant Sandeep Sridhar.
Currently, the Enforcement Directorate is investigating the money laundering angle in connection to Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) got involved after SSR’s father KK Singh filed an FIR against Rhea and five other people at Rajiv Nagar Police station in Patna. The late actor’s father made 16 allegations under various sections including financial exploitation, threats, abetment of suicide, and others.
Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead on June 14, 2020, at his Bandra residence in Mumbai.
