Sound editor Nimish Pilankar passes away at 29

Renowned sound editor Nimish Pilankar passed away at the young age of 29 in Mumbai. He has worked for Akshay Kumar’s ‘Housefull 4′. Salman Khan’s ‘Race 3’, Sidharth Malhotra starrer ‘Marjaavaan’ and many more. Nimish is said to have suffered from high blood pressure, which resulted in brain haemorrhage.

Nimish had also worked in Sonam Kapoor and Anil Kapoor’s ‘Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga’ and Rhea Chakraborty’s ‘Jalebi’and Kesari.

Nimish’s death at such a young age leads to a debate on Twitter. Many took to the social media site to question the working condition in the Hindi film industry. They stated that long working hours and too much work on sound technicians lead to a lot of pressure.

Veteran journalist Khalid Mohamed tweeted the news by writing,

Actor Vipin Sharma wrote,

Soon Akshay Kumar took to social media to pay his last respect.

The actor wrote, “Very sad to learn about the passing away of Nimish Pilankar, that too at such a young age. My heart goes out to his family at this difficult time.”

Actress Rakul Preet too tweeted,

May His Soul Rest In Peace.
