Sui Dhaaga: Made in India starring Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma is the biggest film this week. The film had a decent first day as it collected 8.25 crore nett apprx on the first day.
Sui Dhaaga: Made In India has already eclipsed its competitor, Vishal Bhardwaj’s Pataakha, which also hit the theatres on Friday. Pataakha raked in around Rs 2 crore on Friday, according to early estimates. The film is expected to pick up further over the weekend, due to strong word of mouth. It will also benefit from the Gandhi Jayanti holiday. The two actors have huge fan followings and hence the film is expected to be a hit at the box offices.
It is the story of a husband (Mauji) and wife(Mamta) who take control of their lives by establishing their own textile business. From impossible to unstoppable, is the mantra behind the film. The film garnered a lot of appreciation from Bollywood actors such as Neha Dhupia but found a special admirer in Virat Kohli. Virat Kohli loved the film and praised his wife and Varun Dhawan’s work in the film.
The film is directed by Sharat Katariya and produced by Maneesh Sharma.
