Sushant Singh Rajput kept changing doctors, was not taking medicines regularly; reports

Sushant Singh Rajput passed away on June 14, 2020, in his Bandra residence. The actor committed suicide and was allegedly depressed. The Mumbai Police have recorded statements of three psychiatrists and one psychotherapist in the suicide case of SSR.

The doctors told the police that he wasn’t taking the prescribed medicines and hardly visited them more than two to three times, reported Mid-Day.

The report further stated, “The actor used to change his doctors after two to three visits. He has not visited the three psychiatrists more than three times each. The doctor he last visited had given him some medicines for the disease he was diagnosed with but the actor took them for about two months. He had consulted the psychiatrist over phone during lockdown but he did not follow his advice,” said an officer.

One of the psychiatrists said, “Such a disease requires proper medical attention and some medicines need to be taken for almost nine to 11 months. In some cases, they are required for a lifetime. But Sushant stopped taking the medicines when he started to feel better.”

DCP Abhishek Trimukhe, Zone IX, said, “The Bandra police have recorded the statements of the three psychiatrists and one psychotherapist with respect to Sushant’s death.”

According to the Bandra police, SSR consulted all the three psychiatrists from November 2019 onwards. He was being detected with depression and was given some medicines, which he took for one to two months and then stopped.

The latest reports state, that a film based on SSR is in the making, the late actor’s lookalike, and TikTok star Sachin Tiwari will be playing the lead which is titled, ‘Suicide or Murder: A star was lost.’ Produced by Vijay Shekhar Gupta and directed by Shamik Maulik.
