Uttar Pradesh: Five booked for derogatory post against Yogi Adityanath and RSS. Five accused were reportedly made derogatory comments on social media.

In Uttar Pradesh, five people have been booked under the IT Act for allegedly making contentious remarks against the incumbent chief minister Yogi Adityanath and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on social media site, Facebook, reported news agency PTI.

According to the report, the FIR against five people were lodged on Thursday by one Gaurav Gupta against Rana Sultan Javed, Zeeshan, Haroon Khan, Shafiq and King Khan at city police station.

All the five accused were reportedly made derogatory comments on social media against the UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and RSS, an Indian right-wing, Hindu nationalist, paramilitary volunteer organisation.

On November 14, after the Facebook post locals had staged a protest demanding registration of FIR against all the accused.
