According to the latest reports, Good Newwz director Raj Mehta has roped in Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor for his upcoming film, Jug Jug Jiyo. Reportedly, the shooting of the film is expected to begin from the month of November.
Jug Jug Jiyo which is a situational comedy that rotates around the lives of two couples of different generations and the makers of the film is planning to shoot in real locations of Chandigarh which will be followed by a short shoot in Mumbai. It is said that Varun’s character is an NRI.
Sharing the details, a report in Mumbai Mirror said, “The film is tentatively titled Jug Jug Jiyo and is a dramedy that revolves around the lives of two couples of different generations, played by Varun and Kiara, Anil and Neetu. The situational comedy, spun around a North Indian family promises to be a riot, with the older couple’s strained relationship bringing lots of laughs.” Reportedly, another A-lister gang is expected to join the film soon.
Jug Jug Jiyo will be produced by Karan Johar under the banner of Dharma Productions and will be produced by Raj Mehta, who marked his debut with Good Newwz.
This will mark Neetu Kapoor returning to films, she was last seen in the 2013 film Besharam alongside her late husband Rishi Kapoor and son Ranbir Kapoor.
