Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan's film, 'Coolie No 1' to premiere on Christmas on Amazon Prime Video
Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan comedy film, titled, Coolie no 1 gets a release date. The makers have decided to release the film on Amazon Prime Video on Christmas this year. this is the first time the two actors, Sara and Varun, will be sharing screen space together.

Sharing the release date, the Kalank actor took to their social media handle and captioned it as, “Koi kaam nahi mamooli hai…Hum sab yahan par Coolie hai 🥇🎄🎅 #WorldPremiereOnPrime #CoolieNo1OnPrime, coming Christmas 2020, @primevideoin”

Coolie No 1 is a remake of Govinda and Karisma Kapoor starrer 1995 comedy film that surely is an audience favorite to date. Varun and Sara will be reprising Govinda and Karisma’s characters with a modern twist to it. Sara’s character in the film will be referred to as Pooja, much like Karisma Kapoor’s in the 1995 film.
After Judwaa 2, this marks the second collaboration of Varun with his dad David Dhawan. The movie also stars Javed Jaffrey, Rajpal Yadav, Johnny Lever, Sahil Vaid, and Shikha Talsania. This is David Dhawan’s 45th film. Pooja Entertainment’s Coolie No 1 is produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, and Deepshikha Deshmukh.
Earlier, it was scheduled to release on May 1, 2020. However, due to the Coronavirus lockdown and theatre shut down, it had to be postponed. Coolie No 1 will premiere on December 25, 2020, on Amazon Prime Video.
