Yuvraj Singh has bid adieu to all forms of cricket and this news was announced by the Southpaw himself at a press conference held in Mumbai today. Announcing the news, the 37-year-old said, “After 25 years, I have decided to move on. Cricket has given me everything and is the reason why I stand here today,” adding, “I was extremely lucky to play 400 games for India. I could have never imagined it when I first started playing cricket.” Virat Kohli, Virendra Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir and other cricketers and peers took to Twitter handle to express their feelings on Yuvi’s retirement.
Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli addressing Yuvraj as ‘paji’, tweeted, “You gave us so many memories and victories and I wish you the best for life and everything ahead. Absolute champion.”
Virendra Sehwag said in his tweet that “players like @YUVSTRONG12 are very rare to find”. He also wished Yuvi “best in life”.

Yuvraj Singh joined One-day International (ODI) in October 2000 with ICC KnockOut Trophy in Kenya. He made his Test debut in 2003 at his home ground Mohali against New Zealand and then he joined Indian T20 International squad in the ICC World T20 in 2007, against Scotland at Durban in September in the same year. In 58 T20Is he scored 1177 runs with 8 half-centuries. He was the Man of the tournament in the World Cup 2011 campaign.
