Vivo iQOO Rumoured Foldable Smartphone Is Not Foldable

Recently iQoo foldable smartphone render image was leaked showing up an ultra-thin foldable smartphone under Vivo’s sub-brand iQOO. It was speculated the device will be unveiled at MWC 2019, but a recent event disclosed the actual iQOO Smartphone model a way lot different than how it was rumored.

iQOO released a new teaser on its official Weibo Page, the device featured is equipped with 6th Generation In-Display fingerprint sensor, Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC processor and 8GB RAM. The device most likely is a regular smartphone with no foldable design. The model re-appeared again during NBA All-Star Game, where the host holding the phone revealed a regular smartphone model with three cameras on the back and iQOO logo.

The device caught up news fast due to its unique foldable design as per the leaked render images. Being a sub-brand of Vivo it was not easy to deny the leak is a 100% false rumor. In similar many leaks are coming up before MWC2019 showing up futuristic foldable smartphone models with no backup from official sources.

iQOO Smartphone was priced at CNY 5,000 (Approx-52000 INR/738$), the device falls in the premium range with high-end hardware and advanced camera offerings.
