Bollywood Diva Deepika Padukone rocked the pink carpet with her Barbie look in a pink colored Zac Posen gown. The Blush shade gown had a tech twist to it with some spectacular 3D printed embellishments. The ‘Padmaavat’ star made a grand entry at the gala but tripped on her gown as she sipped wine in the hotel lobby

In the video, we can see Deepika Padukone turning around in the lobby as few people are seen helping her with the train of her dress. She almost trips but manages to regain control.
Deepika won many accolades for her look and hubby Ranveer too commented on her picture and wrote, “Come on Barbie , let’s go party ????.”
Not many know that Deepika Padukone’s metallic pink lurex jacquard gown took 160 hours of making.
The gown contained a complex, layered skirt spotted with 408 sea urchin-inspired baubles that were hand-sewn to the fabric. The adornments were created using stereolithography, a 3D printing technique where a structure is constructed layer by layer using a liquid substance that’s solidified by a laser. After the accessories were created, they were metal plated and painted. The process of creating these decorations took over 160 hours.
The end result was truly praiseworthy.
This is the third time that Deepika Padukone is attending the Met Gala, the first time in 2017 she had marked her debut in a Tommy Hilfiger slip dress and last year in a stunning Prabal Gurung Red Gown.
On the work front, Deepika Padukone will next be seen in Meghna Gulzar’s ‘Chhapaak’. The movie is based on the life of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal and also features Vikram Massey.
