In Kolkata’s Tiljala area, a 22-year-old woman was gang-raped inside a beauty parlour. The police have said on Saturday that they have arrested three people for their alleged involvement in repeatedly raping the woman.
The police added that based on the complaint lodged by the survivor, the three culprits were arrested.
According to the statement given by the police, a medical test conducted on the woman confirmed rape.
As per the FIR registered, the woman was called by one of the accused to the beauty parlour where he raped her. Two more men were already present there who were filming the rape. Later, they too took turns to rape the woman, said the police official.
The three men then threatened the woman of circulating the video and continued raping her, he further added.
Lastly, the police official said that they are looking into the matter and have collected evidence. He also mentioned that special officers have spoken to the victim regarding the matter.
