The Coronavirus Pandemic has taken the world in its grip. After China, the United States, and Italy and many other countries, it has also hit Indian shores. To combat the new virus government has launched a strict action and applied lockdown in the country. Maharashtra that has the maximum number of cases is also fighting it. Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray announced a curfew in the entire state yesterday in a bid to contain the spread of the pandemic. Here is some good news. 12 Covid 19 patients in Maharastra have been cured.
As reported by the BMC health department to Mumbai Mirror, “Twelve coronavirus patients have now tested negative for the infection. They were being treated at various civic-run hospitals here for last some days. In the last couple of days, we noticed these 12 patients getting better. Their fresh swab samples were sent for tests and the results came out negative.”
The cured patients will soon be discharged.
So far Maharashtra has more than 101 corona cases in the state. A 65-year-old coronavirus patient has died in Mumbai, taking the death toll due to COVID-19 to three in the metropolis.
As of March 24, the Indian government maintains that there are 446 active Covid-19 cases in the country. While India’s medical resources have managed to save 37 lives from the infection. The country’s Covid-19 death toll stands at 10 as of March 24.
While three of these deaths were reported from Mumbai in Maharashtra, the states of Bihar, Delhi, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Punjab, and West Bengal have reported one death each.
