Asaduddin Owaisi sacks corporator for ignoring his instructions

AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi has sacked one of its corporators for ignoring his instructions. According to MIM MLA, Owaisi had asked him to campaign.

All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen president Asaduddin Owaisi has sacked one of its corporators Syed Mateen after his name was embroiled in several controversies, reported The Siyasat Daily.

Imtiaz, an AIMIM MLA told The Siyasat Daily that ever since he was elected as a corporator, had been found to be involved in anti-party activities which resulted in maligning the name of MIM.

The MLA further said that Syed ignored party chief Asaduddin Owaisi’s directive campaigning for the party in the Telangana and Dhule Municipal Corporation elections.

It is to be noted that Syed Mateen had earlier triggered another controversy by opposing the rendition of the National anthem, Vande Mataram. The MIM corporators, who have been showing respect by standing in favour of Vande Mataram during the GB, had questioned his timing for the move.

According to Times of India report, there are several cases registered against him including inciting communal hatred amongst members of different communities in the city.

“Mateen, for the past three consecutive years, has been bringing a bad name to the party (MIM). Every time he made us go on the defensive and helped the rivals from diverting key issues plaguing the city,” Group leader Syed Naser Siddiqui told the daily.

Akbaruddin Owaisi retains Chandrayangutta seat
